Infralapse is here to help households think ahead and prepare calmly. Please read this page so you know what our results, guides and plans can and can’t do.

In an emergency

Call your local emergency number. Follow instructions from your local authorities, emergency services and civil-protection agency. Their guidance always comes before anything on this site.

Information and estimates only

Everything on Infralapse, including the calculator, results, guides and paid plans, is general information. It is not professional emergency, medical, financial or safety advice, and it doesn’t replace advice from qualified professionals who know your situation.

All figures are estimates

  • Survival days, tiers and stockpile targets are estimates based on your answers, general preparedness guidance and average figures. Real needs vary with age, health, activity, climate, season and circumstances.
  • Prices and costs are rough estimates. Actual prices vary by shop, region, season and exchange rate, and they change over time.
  • Exchange rates come from a third-party service and may be out of date.

Treat every number as a starting point for your own planning, not a guarantee.

AI-generated plans

Paid plans are written by AI from your answers. AI can make mistakes. It may get quantities, prices, product names, shelf lives or local details wrong, or miss something important for your household. Read your plan critically and check important points against official sources.

Food safety, health and medicines

  • Food and water: check food safety, storage and water treatment guidance with your local food safety and health authorities. When in doubt, throw it out.
  • Medicines and health: talk to your doctor or pharmacist about medicines, extra supplies, storage and any health conditions. Never change or stop a medicine based on anything on this site.
  • Babies, pregnancy and special needs: ask your health service for advice that fits your situation.

Safety

Some preparation involves real risks, such as fuel, generators, stoves, heaters, candles and heavy water containers. Always follow manufacturers’ instructions and safety guidance. Never use generators, barbecues or camping stoves indoors.

Financial decisions

Budget figures and buying schedules are planning suggestions, not financial advice. Only spend what you can afford.

Our guides summarise official preparedness advice and link to sources such as Ready.gov, the Red Cross, the CDC, the WHO and national governments. Advice differs between countries and changes over time, so check your local authorities’ current guidance. We don’t control third-party sites and aren’t responsible for their content.

Ads

Free pages show ads from Google AdSense. Ads are not endorsements, and we don’t choose or check the products advertised. Ads never appear on paid plans.

No guarantee

We work hard to make Infralapse accurate and useful, but we can’t promise that it’s complete, error-free or right for your circumstances, or that following it will keep anyone safe in a particular emergency. See our Terms of Use for more.
